D id you know?? That as little as 1 gram of trans fatty acids per day raises the risk of cardiovascular disease by 20% !!! Most fast food meals that are deep-fried contain at least 5g of TFAs ! Trans fats are also in chips, crackers, breads and other processed foods. And don’t settle with a label that claims “No Trans Fats”, that could mean that there’s a small enough amount in a mere 4 chips for example, that they can make this claim – but who eats only 4 chips?! If you see the word “Hydrogenated” or “partially hydrogenated”, avoid it.
