Maple Pumpkin Popcorn

Afavorite snack food that doesn’t sabotage your goals!

Buttered popcorn is definitely one of my personal favs. Even fake-buttered movie theatre popcorn (yup, total guilty pleasure!) But here’s a recipe that you need not feel guilty about! In fact, homemade air-popped corn is one of our top rated clean snack foods (organic non-GMO air-popped) for many reasons:

  • Popcorn is a whole grain and is 51% FIBER, which plays a vital role in helping to regulate blood sugar balance and promote fat-burning in the body, unlike most snack foods.
  • At 48% manganese and 31% magnesium, both minerals that support muscle and tissue health, popcorn makes a great snack for the athlete.
  • BONUS: the minerals in maple syrup include calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus sodium, potassium, and zinc – making it a perfect quick-absorbing natural sugar and electrolyte source for a post-workout snack.
  • Ounce for ounce, popcorn has more protein and phosphorus than potato chips, and more iron than eggs and spinach. One cup of plain air-popped corn only has 30 calories, and it’s packed with anti-oxidants and B-vitamins to support energy production.
